For this production, I created portions of Owen Wilson’s supersuit and His Stunt Doubles Suit. items include: The undersuit, Armor supports, and padding.
The under
suit
The under suit is the base layer of the superhero power suit. Precise measurements were taken of Owen Wilson so that the suit could not only support armor pieces but allow the actor to move unimpeded. The images here show how this base layer was constructed.

Placement
Now that the under suit is finished, it’s time for the outer armor pieces! Using the concept art as reference, we created paper patterns of the armor parts and planned placement. This way we can anticipate any issues before any costly materials are used.

supports
Once we know what armor bits will be made, we need a way to secure these pieces to the under suit. For this project, we created velcro armor supports that not only keep things in place, it still allows the actor to move without too much restriction.
